It's not often that we're presented with a completely blank slate. Our client moved into her brand new apartment in Hawthorn at the beginning of Melbourne’s first pandemic lockdown, owning very little furniture at the outset except for some artwork which inspired our colour choices. Fundamentally, she desired a collection of pieces with inherent longevity that would also serve multiple purposes, particularly storage elements which also needed to be visually appealing.

She was also unafraid of working with bold hues, whilst ensuring that the overall look of the apartment was sophisticated and modern with a keen attention to detail. We landed on a warm colour scheme of tans, ochres and jade green that embody a calm and laidback ambience and included a number of pieces by local Australian artisans and designers.
