This modern new build on the Central Coast of NSW, functions as a holiday home as well as a rental property so the interiors needed to appeal to a wide range of tastes. The scheme includes a number of functional and durable furniture items with but with character and pops of colour. As it formed part of a development, the selection of hard finishes was limited and so we added colour in the soft furnishings. Given that some of the spaces were quite generous, we were able to incorporate a large round dining table and cane chairs plus a substantial curved modular sofa and large artworks without too much clutter and unnecessary layering. The result is a home that is both simple and sleek, with a touch of eclecticism turning the idea of a plain and predictable development interior on its head.
