Blessed with a direct oceanside our client wanted to create a home with a primary focus being the stunning view. Given that this Central Coast property was a traditional, weatherboard beach house, we opted for a boho, laidback vibe. We sanded back the original internal orange floorboards, the house was painted top to bottom and we refurbished the primary bathroom. The kitchen cabinet doors, solid timber doors in good condition, were simply revitalised with a lick of paint and a hardware change. The interior embrace the beach vernacular aesthetic, hence a neutral palette of grey, white and light browns with touches of blue. We sourced most of the furniture items from local artisans with priority given to the products that were “beach rated” and salt tolerant.
